I saw a fatal accident in Hawaii years ago that was quite similar.

This guy was so drunk, while we were waiting for the police, he asked me if this was my car. I said "Yes it is, we just had a wreck - remember?" He thought for a minute and says "OH YES! Now I remember!"

It would have been funny if it wasn't going to be so expensive.
