Muslims are beginning to get angry about the way we are being treated. Muslim boys have to prove their innocence on the streets now, instead of the police proving their guilt. This is supposed to be a multicultural society, yet there are increasing divisions between the people who live within it. British foreign policy is disastrous for harmony in this country. How can Muslims trust the government any more? It condemns Hizbollah, but funds Israel to kill innocent children. No wonder Muslims are angry. But the Koran says that to kill one innocent person is to kill the whole of mankind, and real Muslims adhere to that.

This is going to sound like a contradiction, but all Muslims are not frothing at the mouth. Some are really nice people. And the more we put down the nut cases, the better the world will be for the good people -- and yeah, that includes some Muslims. Our fight is against evil - that includes much of the Muslim religion - but it doesen't include all people who were born Muslim. There is a difference.

This line must be on the first page of the Islamic Propaganda book. I've heard it trotted out about a bazillion times since 09/11 and it seems like most Americans from Bush downwards go for it hook line and sinker (despite what they see with their own eyes).

Funny thing though is that you have to actually look at what it means ...what she's saying is that killing an INNOCENT person is a crime. In Islam the following people are NOT innocent:

Christians
Jews
Hindus
Buddhists
Sikhs

All these people come under the heading Infidel or Kaffir and accordingly in Islam it is not an offense to persecute or kill them. Next time you hear this canard spouted out remember that what your hearing is not Islamic tolerance but linguistic acrobatics!

We've ALWAYS referred to people from the Indian Subcontinent as Asian. Religion has nothing to do with it.

If they're from the Indian subcontinent, they're 'Asians' to us.

Just because you lot have another definition for Asians (Japanese, Chinese, Koreans etc) doesn't make YOUR definition the one WE use in OUR country.

However, my observation is that the term isnt used simply to refer to the origin of an individual in such British Papers (like Daily Mail, etc.) but also in an effort to whitewash the background of an individual if he/she be muslim...it's Political Correctness, that's all.

Hi there Sorry if I came over as a bit snappish, but I've seen quite a few posts on FR recently which seem to imply that the US version of 'Asian' is the correct one and that we are in the wrong in some way, which is a bit irritating! If you don't fall into that category, then I apologise

I haven't really noticed a 'whitewash' agenda as such, but perhaps you have a point... I'll look out for it now. Of course, because we're used to the 'Asian' tag, it isn't so noticeable to us, maybe.

I have no hesitation in 'being kind' to you lot accross the pond: I like America and its (to us) sometimes funny ways. Glad you have our back; our joint forces are probably the most operationally compatible in the world.

I know EXACTLY what Asian means in the UK all I'm saying is that the reason why Muslims and BBC liberals love it so much is that its shields the fundos in a larger group of brown people. I'm not going around correcting what I FEEL the definition of Asian is, I'm telling you what the definition is in the UK.

I've seen far too many posts on FR recently saying that we're completely wrong in our definition and that it's something we've started doing recently because of PC-ness. That's what I'm talking about here.

I'm quite aware that the terrorists are Muslim and they're the problem: I actually agree with you that our media ought to use the term rather than the catchall 'Asian' term.

For the most part, Indians aren't Muslims; OTOH, most Pakistanis are. Anyone in England, reading this article, knows full well what is being stated. Many reading the article, on FR, don't.
