If there was not the very real possibility of Iran lobbing a nuke at Israel, this would all be hilarious material worthy of the Marx Brothers, consider:
You have a sawed off little runt of a dictator (Ahmadjihad) who shouts down, prays down, ejaculates down, WHATever it is he does at some obscure well, thinking that the 12th Imam is hiding down there and will climb out on the 22nd of August to destroy all the enemies of Islam, establish a world wide caliphate or whatever he's supposed to do, the Jews will be wiped out, everyone will convert to Islam or die, and universal peace will reign all over the world (after they kill untold millions of people of course).
Now here is what may or may not happen next Tuesday:
Iran will be continuing their vaunted military exercises, and they may or may not decide to have a test launch of a Shahab-3 missile. If they have the stones to aim it at Israel, it is game over for Iran because Israel will immediately retaliate and if Iran does NOT have a nuclear weapon, they will after Israel pulls the trigger on them, and it won't be pretty. Tehran, Tabriz, Esfahan and Shiraz? Say bye-bye to them all and more.
And in the midst of the Israeli retaliation, all the Iranians have to do is to so much as look funny at any U.S. military forces in the region, make a threatening move, and you can bet that there will be a concentrated and focused tactical nuke strike on any and every Iranian military-industrial target that U.S. pilots can reach, and I'll bet they can reach them all, and faster than the MSM would have you think.
If Syria is stupid enough to side with Iran, those prophecies in Isaiah about Damascus will become a reality, as Syria will suddenly be in need of a new capital, assuming there is anything left of Syria when they finally get theirs.
And should this all come to pass, it will be due to the virulent Islamofascist/jihadist virus, which in duped individuals at the bottom of the food chain, are used as were the 9/11 hijackers, creating mass carnage using low-technology methods (box cutters, etc.). And at the top of their food chain, there are the political leaders like Ahmadjihad who have the power of a government and military at their disposal, and they have the ability to unleash the same sort of terroristic mass murder, but on a larger scale.
And this is why we need to throw the so-called rule book out the window, stop playing by late 19th century and early 20th century concepts of "fair play", and recognize that we are facing the equivalent of rabid animals who are determined to wipe our asses out one way or the other. They are not going to negotiate, they are never going to agree to any sort of cease fire or peace treaty, because we are the INFIDELS they are sworn to destroy and the majority of those deluded fools are unable to break loose of the death cult ideology that holds them in it's grasp.
And that my FRiends, is why we (meaning America and the West) need to kill those sons-of-b!tches NOW while we still have the strategic advantage.

but what they can do - is launch many regional attacks on strategic targets - oil fields in iraq, tankers in the persian gulf, use their syrian and hezbollah proxies in israel, terrorism and shia militias inside iraq - all at once, and at the very same time, north korea sets off a nuclear test, and iran announces they have purchased 10 of the now proven weapons.
