But this new ability to post and share videos is nothing short of revolutionary in the political world of message management and image making....
I'm wondering when we'll have the first "You Tube/video" candidate, a nobody who makes it first on You Tube before anyone else ever hears of that person.

I don't know, but the guy who started You Tube is holding out for something like a billion dollars, according to a recent NY Post Business article. I think he was offered $400 million but turned it down.

400 million is nothing. I remember when Google was worth 28 Billion in equipment alone. And they can't have anywhere near the storage of YouTube.

Yeah, I know what you're saying; however, even if $400 million is "nothing," it still sounds like A LOT of "nothing" to me! :)

"I wonder how large YouTube's hardrive is." I'd say they have a very robust datacenter. Thousands and thousands of TBs of data in storage I would guess. Their bandwidth has to be pretty crazy too. Probably OC48 lol.

And there's always the possibility of technological trickery, à la Photoshop. Reuters, NYT, AP, U.S. News & World Report and others are being exposed on the Internet and proof of their fraudulent "News" photos are being compiled and displayed in videos on YouTube.com and other video web sites.

Editors (the old gatekeepers) across the world lost some of their power with the growth of the net. With YouTube, elitist control slips away further.

"You have to know just what you look like and how many people are hitting on and redistributing your video." And there isn't a 2008 Republican candidate outside of Mitt Ronmey who can pass the YouTube test.

? As time goes on the hardware value declines, and with google itself now handling video, this guy should take the money and run.

The point is not that you need YouTube, but that any picture worth a 1000 words will now be seen by the entire world.
Pretty Cool for those dominated by the MSM for 50 years.
