Court records show Rivero has several convictions from Miami-Dade County dating to 1986, including grand larceny and burglary. He was sentenced to five years' probation in 2003 after pleading no contest to a robbery charge.Landscaper? $800,000 house? Maybe her boyfriend engaged in some enterprises in addition to landscaping? Just a thought.

Probably. After the Dianne Whipple murder, it was found that drug dealers like these happy little pups. Also, people who can't control their own dogs are playing Russian Roulette, with themselves, their families, and their neighbors.

Or he could have had more than one landscaping crew working, the business can be quite lucrative, some of the figures I have heard quoted make me want to load up my riding mower and set out.

Landscapers make real good money. I've helped make a few of them rich. :(

My first thought. Landscapers down here get $15 a lawn - none of the landscapers I know could afford a house like that. And why keep a dog like that in Sarasota? It's a nice area.
Something doesn't pass the smell test.

"Maybe her boyfriend engaged in some enterprises in addition to landscaping?"After reading entire article, I'd say it's more than likely. Too bad the dog didn't get a chance to dispatch him too before being shot. The only ones I feel sorry for are the kids.

"Maybe her boyfriend engaged in some enterprises in addition to landscaping?"Landscaping offers ample opportunity to case out a property. Rivero had a record of burglary and grand larceny. People like these often keep attack dogs to avoid being ripped off by their "associates."
