Did you read something else then the Old Testament? New TEstament perhaps?
Huh? Clarify?
==
Simple. The Old Testament is the history of Jewdeh BEFORE Christ coming. Accually the history of biblical "chosen people".
The New Testament is the history of Christ life, teaching, cruxufiction out of "chosen people" band. Accually it is the story of "chosen people" rejected Messiah.
SO apostles started new religion the Chirstianity based on the Christ teachings alone. The new religion which dedicated not to "chosen people" alone as Judaism does but to all people of Earth.
For that rejection of Messiah the "chosen people" was dispersed from Jewdeah. Now they got there again (but in the different composition accually). But since that gathering was done against God will there no peace.
Boy have you missed this one BIG TIME!!! Hundreds of verses foretell both the the 'dispersion' AND also the 'regathering'. HUNDREDS! Do you read with only one eye open? Most go like this: 'I will punished you for your sin... but THEN I will gather you again after an appointed time....". I know of very few who don't see the providential hand of God in the creation of modern Israel. You're swimming again the tide big time to claim otherwise.
