Read the letters to the editor in the Old Gray Whore tomorrow, you'll probably find your answer.

Now if they could take care of binnes in the near future, all would be good. However, he will probably outlive most of us.

This guy's lawyer says he has a brain defect but he co-wrote a sociology book while in prison. Amazing.

While there, he co-wrote ''Living in Prison: A History of the Correctional System,'' with the help of professors at East Tennessee State University. They already have.
I wondered why the Slime ran an AP crime story.

Now if he had written a children's book, instead, he'd have all the celebrities standing up for him.

It depends on the color of his skin, his sexual orientation, the level of hatred he has for Bush and how well he writes. Any one of those factors and the Loony Left will stand up an oppose frying the creep.

$55 (wow!!) at Amazon.

This book by two criminologists and a currently incarcerated inmate surveys the history of the correctional system in the US and provides an overview of contemporary prisons, criminal justice policies, women in prison, prisoner rights, and the evolution of current penological practices. As such, it would stand as an effective text for college-level criminology classes. The strength of the work, however, is the powerful personalization of the prison experience provided by Stanko, who is currently incarcerated in South Carolina. He discusses, among other topics, his pretrial detention, the psychology of imprisonment, coping strategies, health care in prison, food, relations with corrections officials, and the intense depression of being cut off from freedom that afflicts most inmates....Recommended. Upper-division undergraduates and above.Choice

From the article:
Defense attorney William Diggs had argued Stanko's life should be spared because he has a brain defect and couldn't tell right from wrong.
His brain couldn't have been all that defective if he co-wrote a book. I guess the jury didn't buy it.
