I don't believe the Founding Fathers had any intention of applying this amendment to enemies in wartime.

Lincoln surveilled Southerners without warrants and FDR monitored communications into and out of the US by Germans and Japanese during WWII without warrants.

Why would you give foreign terrorists the benefit of the Constitution? Or, for that matter, US citizens who cooperate with terrorists the benefit of the Constitution?
