Many, many, many Jewish and Arab and Korean shop owners in those communities were shot in the face for their troubles but - to my knowledge - not one was shot in the face in a dispute over stale bread.

The 1992 "Rodney King" riots were largely a pogrom against Korean shop-owners in L.A. and particularly South Central.
