In a vacuum that may be true, but there would be too much circumstantial evidence tying Iran to the crime. Iran has told us what they want to do, it would strain credulity for them to come back and say "It wasn't us." They aren't a plausible "victim." Not even the NYT would buy it. Well, maybe they would...
Plus, I don't think the bomb would be a one-off attack. Given the troop exercises, North Korean activity, etc. it seems to be a part of a bigger picture. It seems to me Iran is almost in "use it or lose it mode."

I think when historians write about the upcoming war with iran and islam. They'll be incredulous at our naivete in not reading the signs (our = the West not FR or the US in particular). Iran has said it wants to wipe out Israel. Iran is run by leaders seeking islamic armageddon. Iran has relentlessl pursued a nuclear program. A three-year old child could connect the dots (quick -- someone get Europe a three-year old child).

(Can we please take out iran's nuclear capability before they start using it?)

These guys have all been globe trotting visiting with each other the last few months -- including lil' Hugo. I hope we can walk and chew gum at the same time.
FWIW, I've been reconciling to our way of life coming to an end since the end of March.
