I know of no AIDS patient who's lived 50 - 60 years.

The disease is only about 25 years old - so I agree with you - my comment was a projection into the future. This virus appears to be much less virulent than it was in 1981, and as you can see from the article we're posting to, there's an assumption HIV positive people will "reach 60"...
