I've never worn MAC regularly, but I liked the handful of products that I did have--mostly lipsticks and face powders. I was in my mid-20s when the stuff became 'big' and even then I never used much because the product lines were a little too loud and club-oriented for my needs.

Lots of wild colors, lots of super heavy foundations (to cover five o'clock shadows for the Dragsters), and just too glam and trash for me.

I still wrote them a very polite letter asking them, "as a long time user, and a Republican, how was I to interpret this?"

Ironically, I had been considering buying a few pieces, including some Plushgloss from them before the Sandra Bernhard statement. Will I now? No. That ad wasn't a mistake, and some higher up had to approved it. They only changed the ad to avoid any more backlash.

They don't need my money. My evil, right-wing money. "Eff them," as they say.

Good point.
