This passenger should have read Ann Coulter's book or columns. One way tickets raise suspicions. According to Ann, this usually results in small, thin, blond, blue-eyed women being targeted with the toughest searches at airports, but apparently this one-way ticket thing managed to snag a Muslim woman.

My wife's work takes her on trips to many military installation around the country and sometimes on short notice or a one way ticket. She is Mexican but could be mistaken for being of Middle East Origin. She is singled out much more often, than the normal passenger for extra security. This does not bother here in the least. Her attitude is "I can live with it because I do not want to die."

You are correct. I have been selected for 'additional screening' several times. Every time it happened, I had purchased my ticket the same day as the flight, it was a one way ticket, and I had no checked baggage. Apparently that's one of the profiles they are looking for.
