Israel's condition is terminal - unless the Olmert government is removed from power. People who led Israel to the most devastating defeat its history are not equipped to ensure the country's continued survival. The pathetic turnout of Israelis at an anti-Olmert demonstration in Tel Aviv reveal few Israelis do get the extent of the danger the country is in. And by the time the rest of their countrymen do wake up, it may be too late. By then, if nothing is done, all that will remain of the late Jewish State is an Internet website.

Israel needs someone who is not afraid to nuke Damascus and Tehran if that becomes necessary

The Jews of Israel don't seem to care. The obvious choice in the last election was Bibi. Instead they elect a lawyer to defend them.

Saw Medved last night and he said he thinks Olmert will be gone in a few weeks. He said Netanyahu will be back.

This is the Beginning of the End for the Jewish State !
This last, ill-concieved and obviously pre-planned millitary action against Lebannon by Israeli military forces, is Zionist State's OPERATION BARBAROSA !
Like that ill-fated invasion of Russia 45 years ago, this could spell ultimate defeat for the Jewish State - -
they(Israel's Intelligence) obviously underestimated Hezballah's hold on Lebannon, the country, the society, its' state - -
underestimated Hezbollah's capabilities, like 13,000 Katusha rockets . . .
More Israeli citizens have been killed in the past 12 years of peace since the Oslo Peace Accords of 1994, than in the previous 20 yrs of wars and conflicts combined . .
The Zionist State will not be destroyed, not nuked - -
Israel will be bled to 'Death by a Thousand Cuts', none of which are fatal by themselves, but fatal long term ! !

>>Likewise, history tells us of nations that never lost a battle in combat only to die because they lost their sense of purpose, their will to survive. <<
Do not forget that they also lost their sense of identity !
They allowed their countries to be flooded by foreign tribes until their sense of Nation Consciousness lived no more . .
After that, they fought their wars increasingly with the aid of foreign auxiliaries and conscripts(foreign immigrants that acquired citizenship thru service) - -
forces that were loyal primarily for pay, and a share of the loot(spoils of war) ~
When it came time to fight their fellow co-ethnics, they proved less than reliable ! !
(there are currently 27,000 immigrant non-citizen enlistees in the U.S. military)

It's not just former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon who is comatose. It seems the whole current Israeli government is brain dead. How else can one explain Israel's agreement to Lebanon cease-fire terms that amount to unconditional surrender? Ping.

Well Johnnie, after you have read this and reports out of Iraq of a situation rapidly deteriorating, do you still want to continue shoveling flies to win this war against 1.4 billion Muslims?

This was wrong. Arik's condition should not be used to make political points.

Expect a no confidence vote by the end of the year. Olmart is finished.

In 1982 the Israelis did EXACTLY what all the arm chair Pattons are screaming for now. If this is the brilliant war winning strategy all the Freeper Generals claim it is, why is Israel RIGHT back at the same place 25 years later?
Counter Insurgency is not Total War. Learn the difference. Israel is not fighting a Conventional Military campaign against a Conventional threat. The parameters of the two issues are complete different.

Israel's condition is terminal - unless the Olmert government is removed from power. The "great man" fallacy again.
Israel in its present form is terminal not BECAUSE Olmert is PM, but because it is the People of Israel who put him in office.
Olmert is a nobody. What he signifies is that the People will not defend the land if it is necessary to do so with weapons other than words.

If Golda Meir was made to resign after 1973 (which was quite perilous for Israel but ended well), Olmert should be tarred, feathered and then made to resign after the fiasco so far...
