What the AP fails to tell (nah, they aren't trying to spin this. They wouldn't do that, would they?) is that that July 20 Quinnipiac poll was taken before Lamont won the primary. After the primary, according to an August 9-10 Rassmussenreports poll, Lieberman led Lamont 46% to 41%, with Schlesinger garnering 6%.
Since then, Lieberman has widened his lead - now 49% to 38 percent, Schlesinger 4% .
Now that this race is among registered voters of all voting persuasions it appears that Liebermnan has solidified his and widened his lead.
Since the Democratic primary, Lieberman has gone from 46% to 49%, and Lamont has dropped from 41% to 38%.
Looks like Lamont's mo has vaporised...

If this is true, that's good.
But I'm gonna hold off and wait for another poll to hopefully back up those numbers.

Yep, it appears that Lamont's mo has vaporised.
I heard on the Sean Hannity show today that Democrats are really steaming mad now at lieberman for going Independent.
LOL.

Ned Lamont, whose anti-war campaign rattled the political landscape by toppling Sen. Joe Lieberman last week in Connecticut's Democratic primary, is gaining support in November's three-way Senate race according to a poll released Thursday...That's the funniest sentence in the whole story.
MEMO to AP: NED LAMONT WON THE CT PRIMARY!
FOTFLOL!

His appearance on the weekend talking heads show probably didn't impress many lucid Connecticut residence who watched it. I wouldn't buy a used car from that guy.

It's good that the AP is trying to spin things in favor of Lamont. It'll keep the moonbat money going toward his hopeless cause.

Yep, it appears that Lamont's mo has vaporised. I don't think he ever had any momentum or poll lead. It was all a media driven fantasy.

Interesting.
I have never seen Lamont speak on TV before - but other news stories said that he was a polished and intelligent speaker.

Half of Daily Kosland is wetting their diapers and the other half is saying not to believe in polls. Try telling them that when THEIR guy is ahead.

Those loons are going to demand that the DNC go all out to save their candidate.
To: MplsSteve
Looking at the polls, we have four major ones to go by:
Before the primary poll: Lieberman 51% to 27% for Lamont.
Then the primary vote: Lieberman 48%, Lamont 52%.
Then August 9-10: Lieberman 46% to Lamont's 41%.
Now, Lieberman 49% to lamont's 38%.
Lieberman averages 48.5% from July 20 to August 17. Lamont averages 39.5% during that time span.
LOL.

He went so far as to "praise" Reagan with a big fat lie in an interview on CNBC yesterday by saying something along the lines that Reagan raised taxes, and that's good for the economy.
The kook left has got to be on suicide watch as Lament is invoking the name of Ronald Reagan.

Would it be possible (legal) for Schlesinger to drop out in favor of a competitive Republican candidate? I would sure like to have a real race given that Lieberman is, contrary to the Lamonters' delusions, no conservative. For example, I would think Nancy Johnson could have a chance in a three-way race and would be better in the Senate than Lieberman (who I believe has ACU ratings worse than the worst RINOs, such as Arlen the Specter, Olympia Snowe, Chafee, et al.).

And we know if Lamont picks up one percentage point the MSM will scream that he's "CLOSING THE GAP!!".

Ned Lamont, whose anti-war campaign rattled the political landscape by toppling Sen. Joe Lieberman last week in Connecticut's Democratic primary
That's the Rat party's biggest problem.
To win the primaries, you have to convince the base that you are a radical lefty whackjob.
Then to win the election, you have to convince everyone else that you are not a radical lefty whackjob.
I just read an article two days ago that Lamont is now focusing on the moderate vote. ....Hmmmm, that should be interesting.
