Don't post a note if it is a box of someones underwear.... I've seen this happen at a mall I was trying to get to.
I've also been held up for hours on the interstate by a cache or real explosives that turned out to be a bomb squad cop's private collection. It seems even the good guys can't always resist the urge to collect fireworks.

"passenger's water bottle screened positive for an explosive material"
maybe it is one of those energy drinks ladened with caffiene and gingseng and bee pollen.

The time stamps on this article are hours old. Anybody else in on this would be in the air, ready to assemble whatever they got on board.

"There is, however, no suspected link to the terrorist connection in London". The terrorists in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have declined to comment, as they are not allowed to speak to the infidel pigs and dogs.

They are trying to lull us asleep with all of these "cry wolf" stories.
One day a real threat could slip in so they must be diligent and the lamestream press will be whores either way.

Booten said a detection dog then confirmed their concerns. How reliable are "detection dogs"?

But there must be a Robert C Byrd concourse or Robert C Byrd control tower or Robert C Byrd snack bar or Robert C Byrd luggage carousel :)

Really...that's interesting. A water bottle, testing positive for explosives? Odd. I can see that with the "oily rags" yesterday...but a water bottle?

"FOX now reporting Explosives tests are POSITIVE! "Just because somebody tried to smuggle some explosive material on to a plane doesn't necessarily mean terrorism. We must find out what we can do to stop George Bush from driving otherwise sane people into doing these regretful but clearly understandable acts of Republican-controlled government defiance.

Wow.
Thank you for that post. I had read a half dozen reports previously, but they had no mention of either the point of origin for the muslim nutjob (I repeat myself) or her ethnic classification.
A Muslim Woman??
Who'da thunk??!!??

I was already planning on showing up 3 hours early, and my layover is at Detroit so I might expect a few muzzies to be on the flight as they head home to Dearbornistan.

How reliable are "detection dogs"? They detect very well. They're not good at context, tho....

Very good at alerting at tiny amounts of chemicals that they've been trained to. Very good.
What I want to know is what was the first test? Dog or chemical sniffer, or what?

Agreed...The Media-Stereotype shown around the world is one of uneducated boobs, so they must think it's easier...
Unfortunately for them,we are EDUCATED, and for the most part, well-armed...

Within easy striking distance of DC. Maybe?
I doubt any commercial plane leaving Huntington goes anywhere near Washington, DC. It's a small airport, and they only have about two flights per day to the west (Cincinnati) and four flights to the south (Charlotte). Washington DC is almost due east of Huntington.
To: r9etb
They're not good at context, tho....I told a bomb-sniffing dog to sit, and he said, "I'm not sure how to take that".
So I said, "What the $&*^! A talking bomb-sniffing dog!
