Profiling would be a damn good first step. At least negative profiling. Let's at least stop searching the 80 year old grannies, Catholic Nuns and Ann Coulter.
If Israel really wants to get rich, they should borrow as much money as they can from rich Jews the world over, buy a bunch more airplanes and expand El-Al routes wherever they can go.
In today's environment, anywhere in the world, I'd fly El-Al before I'd take any other airline simply because they DO profile and make no bones about it.
I remember an article by an intelligent Arab who said the same thing. Sure, he gets singled out, grilled, quizzed, searched, etc. On the other hand he knows that every other person who fits the terrorist profile gets the same treatment, and since he is more interested in arriving safely at his destination than he is anything else, it doesn't bother him.
