Maybe he could do a documentary on how Houston has been 'enriched' by the influx of people from New Orleans.

"Steadfastly chipping away at the subject in ever more complex ways, he has helped make race and ethnicity central to American film."
Were he a white guy he would be described as a divider and a racist, instead of being fawned upon by the press.

We have never in our history given so much to "victims" of any other natural disaster yet, it isn`t good enough and the so called victims will never stop capitalizing on the martyrdom

Using current and historical footage, music and more than 100 interviews, the film reminds viewers that although Katrina shattered the entire Gulf Coast, New Orleans and its mostly black residents got hit especially hard. Thousands fought to survive deadly floodwaters for days while federal help was slow in coming. Many are left today with a nearly ruined city and broken hearts. Lee conducted each of the interviews, and viewers occasionally hear him asking questions, but he never steps in front of the camera. There is no narrator telling viewers that New Orleans was abandoned, or that this may have happened because most residents are black. There is no need.
God To Destroy The World
Disgusted by what he has seen on earth, God decides to destroy it and start over.
He orders one of His angels to appear at the offices of four of America's leadingnewspapers, the Wall Street Journal, the SF Chronicle, the Washington Post and the New York Times, in order to give them the scoop that He intends to destroy the world in 2 days time.
The next morning, the following headlines appear:
Wall Street Journal: GOD TO DESTROY THE WORLD TOMORROW!! MARKETS WILL CLOSE EARLY!
SF Chronicle: GOD TO END WORLD TOMORROW!! ANTI-RELIGIOUS PROTESTS PLANNED. ACLU TO SUE GOD!!
Washington Post: END OF THE WORLD IS AT HAND, GOD SAYS!! SEE ARTICLE ON PAGE 12-B.
New York Times: GOD VOWS DESTRUCTION OF THE EARTH!! WOMEN, CHILDREN AND MINORITIES TO BE HARDEST HIT!!

I saw "She's Gotta Have It". Was there ANYBODY in that movie who could act? What a chore to watch. Had it been my house I would have had to change the channel.

Wow, an entire semester devoted to Spike Lee, just imagine. Does the textbook come with a piece of rope to hang yourself with? What is the course worth, a quarter of a credit hour?

There is no narrator telling viewers that New Orleans was abandoned, or that this may have happened because most residents are black. There is no need. Spike doesn't have to do it, the "unbiased" AP reporters will let us know such things in their news articles. They'll make it up and then report it.

This "documentary" will be very short on facts and long on emotionalism, as we all know.
His films are astonishingly different from one another in quality.
She Hate Me has got to be one of the worst movies ever made by a major director. The script is is completely wooden and disconnected, the acting is abysmal, the plot is bizarre, the dialogue is unbelievable, the sets are garbage, the editing is clumsy, the pacing is nonexistent, the cinematography is amateurish, and the "message" is completely muddled.
Yet a year and a half after making that utter fiasco, that embarrassingly terrible mess, he made Inside Man which is a solid movie in all respects - interesting script, well-acted, fairly tightly plotted, relatively realistic and at times charming dialogue, great sets and location, crisp editing, relentless pacing, nimble camerawork and some subtle messages.
I don't understand how one director can make both films.
