There was only 2,000 to begin with and you don't know the number of those wounded or maimed. This MSM reporting is just like right after 7/7 when the death toll was stated at around 10. Ended up being over 50 with a few hundred injured.

At any rate, an Army that suffers a 30 % casualty rate in the field of battle is either going to retreat, ask for a cease fire or stand and fight to the last. At least those amongst the living 70 % that are still mostly functional. If the Israelis had 15,000 in Southern Lebanon and lost 126, that is a casualty rate less then 1 %.
