Washington lobbying firms, trade associations and corporate offices are moving to hire more well-connected Democrats in response to rising prospects that the opposition party will wrest control of at least one chamber of Congress from Republicans in the November elections.
In what lobbyists are calling a harbinger of possible upheaval on Capitol Hill, many who make a living influencing government have gone from mostly shunning Democrats to aggressively recruiting them as lobbyists over the past six months or so.

LOL, the Dems have been entrenched in gov for 50 years, their power has been enormous even with a Rep Congress.
The run the bureaucracies, education, all major media, the courts, political culture, political history, the social DC scene.
Republicans/Conservatives are just visitors.

That's right.
Also, most businessmen are whores when it comes to politics.

Also, DeLay -- "The Hammer," who made these people pony up for the only party that cares about them -- is gone. The Rats pick their targets very well.

If gov would stay out of their business then business would stay out of politics.

Birnbaum is as clueless as Elmer Fudd. He was probably just handed some data put together by screaming Dean and his clown posse. I wonder why then the RNC has raised 100 million more dollars than the DNC?

Well in Texas they have hounded the Republican candidate off the ballot and opposed a replacement while in Ohio a Democrat candidate has dropped off the ballot (over domestic abuse charges) and is being hastily replaced before election day.
So that is TWO seats the Rats are shooting for.

This is the same sort of wishful-thinking garbage the media was running in 2003-2004, talking about that big ol' Democrat surge coming any day now.
Still waiting.

I remember reading exactly the same story from the Washington Post....only the dates were 2002 and 2004.
Subsequently, they went strangely silent about all them lobbyists that were "aggressively recruiting RATS", after the elections. :)
Expect to see plenty of such RATS cheer leading stories ostensibly from the Washington Post, but in reality written straight from RATS headquarters, in the days leading up to the elections in November. Just smile knowingly ,and bin 'em.

It is good to see troll posts like that periodically, it reminds us why we need to vote republican in Nov. Idiots like that do not deserve a voice in Congress.
