The Fresno/Central Valley Chapter cordially invites all FReepers and Lurkers in good standing to attend our 5th Annual Free Republic Rally and Tailgate Picnic (and FR's 10th Anniversary celebration) to be held on September 8th and 9th, 2006.
Our rally will begin at 6:30 pm and end at 8:30 pm Friday night, at the corner of Blackstone and Shaw in Fresno. Afterwards, the group will retire for dinner, refreshments and fellowship at a nearby restaurant (time and place to be announced).
Our tailgate pot-luck picnic will be at Woodward Park on Saturday, September 9th. We've reserved the "Gazebo" area for the full day. We'll probably start arriving about 1:00 pm and will dine and party till dark.
The entrance to Woodward Park is on Audubon Drive, just off Freeway 41 on the northern edge of Fresno. The Gazebo area is near the center of the park (see park map).
Bring your flags, banners, signs, family and children. Prepare to support your country and enjoy the company of your good FReeper friends!

Hey there JustAmy and all,
We'll do our best to make it this year to the Support the Troops Rally, as well as
the Tailgate Potluck. I know that Greg has been wanting to come also, if he can get a Leave to come. See ya'll there ; ))
Looking forward to seeing you again and also the chance to meet and thank Greg.
We'll be there. Looking forward to it and you have mail.
Hi Amy! Classes start Monday, so I will be working around picnic time. I hope you all have fun!
Really hope to be back this year, will know in a few days if I can make it for sure.
Surely the most poignant moment of last year for me was the honor of doing the Missing Man ceremony--a tribute to fallen soldiers unable to dine with those who live free, thanks to their ultimate sacrifice. It was a profound and unforgettable experience.
We owe our Vets SO MUCH.
Thanks, Tulip.
Wish you could join us, but I understand.
Marissa starts to school Monday. She is anxious. (So am I!)
Really hope you can make it again.
It was great meeting you last year and we love your car. :)
Is Marissa in first or second grade now? She's growing fast, and I can't keep track of it. LOL!
I don't know if I'm too anxious about starting school. I have so much to do in so little time to prepare.
Marissa is in the first grade this year. She is anxious to see her school friends and she has been bored this summer. :)
She will be able to be in school all day now that she is in first grade.
I have to get some sleep. Good night, Amy!
Nite, Tulip.
Sweet dreams.

HaRUMPH! I have to seriesly question your priorities.
Greetings.
Won't be the same without our dearly departed "Texas Cowboy" ElRoy, who was at the first one.
LOL --- you just make certain you attend and get there on time! :)
Hi Amy!
Thanks for the ping. Yeah, I had a great time meeting everyone last year and I would love to come again this year. I'll let y'all know just as soon as I get some other stuff on my schedule pinned down. Thanks again, and I hope to see you again soon in mighty FResno!

LOL. I agree! JK says thanks for the compliment.
See you there! Bring your appetite.
I can't thank you enough for starting and maintaining Free Republic, but let me start.
Thanks.
It's amazing how technology has changed the world, and nowhere more than in the change of regimes here in the US.
Ousting the Democrats might not be directly attributed to FR, but the continuing pressure on their idiotic plans and personnel is a major triumph.
Congratulations.
Next stop - 20 years.
