I'm a dog groomer and I've been a vet tech and managed a boarding kennel. A total of 30 years of caring for dogs. I'm voting with the Chow folks. I don't know about specifics of that area, but ears can end up bare like that from fly or flea bites. It's teeth don't seem strange to me and I've probably had more dogs teeth bite into me than many other people have ever even seen. The Chow Akita mix would give a lot of jaw strength and a bad attitude. The fuzzy tail and short snout are also characteristic of both breeds.

Just to err on the side of caution I should mention that although I think it looks chow, I haven't seen my ex husband in a while.....;>)

I agree, altho I admit I spend as little time as possible around chows.
