From what I understand, Israelis can have an election any time...maybe the Israeli military will decide to throw that lawyer out of power?? Is my one hope. As far as liberal Jews are concerned, it seems to me that when they choose the State over their own faith, especially when it is leftist in character, they give up any right to castigate their fellow Jew.

I'm German descent and have enjoyed close relationships with the Jewish community all my life (and my family way before that). Israel is fighting for its existence. Israel needs all the help it can get. From that standpoint, this release is great. However we as Americans shouldn't put too much stock in it. At least, not from our perspective. That's all I'm saying.
