If you believe in a supernatural being like Allah and you follow the Koran and Hadiths, this would be in my interpretation of the religion a way to heaven.
People are willing to fight and die for a country. Fighting and dieing for a supernatural being (ALLAH) with the prospect of an eternal reward, makes more sense.
This is not about what you and I believe about the supernatural, it is about what the Muslims believe.
The problem for us is the fundamental Muslim religion itself. Pres. Bush has made progress from; Islam is a religion of peace; and his stupid statement: we worship the same God to a recent calling the problem Islamic fascists.
That's progress. Maybe he can say someday, "Islamic Fundamentalism." - Tom
I was to quick to give Pres. Bush credit. On another thread I found the following:
Bush didn't repeat the reference to "Islamic fascists" at the State Department today, referring instead to "individuals that would like to kill innocent Americans to achieve political objectives."
Political objectives???? George Bush you are a knucklehead on this subject! These are religious objectives.- tom
