To: E Windsor

Chris Muir of DayByDay makes his stuff widely (and freely) available to newspapers and bloggers. I've even emailed him to express my appreciation of his 'toons I mentioned "that I saw on FreeRepublic", and he graciously answered my email. In that, he raised no objections to having his material on FR. He is a class act and GREAT political satirist! I just wish everybody would read DayByDay.

That's true, and a fair point. I only used him as an example.

However, regular bloggers don't do that.

There isn't even any attribution on the ones he's hotlinking from blogs--no link, no nothing. You'd only know where to find it by checking the link properties. So not only is it stealing bandwidth, it's stealing someone else's work. I saw one of the pics had a URL 'shopped onto it, so you'd have to 'shop that out to steal the work. The other one didn't.
