I don't pretend to know the reall skinny, but a lot of folks think there's a change coming in Israeli leadership soon. Maybe round two will be more decisive.

I can. This isn't the first time Israel has had it's hands tied by the world body, but it's the first time (at least in my mind) Israel has been run by an ineffectual leader.
---
The worst part is that Israel isn't due for elections until March 2010. And he is supported by a left-wing coalition.
If Olmert loses a vote of confidence there will be new elections. And after this debacle the left-wing parties will be slaughtered in new elections. So the left-wing Knesset members will stick with Olmert as long as they can. Who wants to be out of power and unemployed? Eventually the government may fall, but who knows when?
So four years of Hezbollah is a real possible outcome. And who know who will be President of the U.S. in 2010?
This has possibilities of becoming a major disaster. Let's hope the worst case scenario does not come to pass.

Israel had two major goals: get rid of Hezbollah's rockets and get rid of Hezbollah.
I agree. And also to get back their kidnapped soldiers. Did that happen?

I would say in 2 weeks. Hezbollah does not have the contain themselves.Plus, they feel very cocky right now. I guess the IDF will give them another lesson
