Equality California's Political Action Committee, a sponsored committee of EQCA, announced Monday its endorsement of State Treasurer Phil Angelides for governor.
"Electing Phil Angelides is Equality California PAC's top priority," said Geoffrey Kors, EQCA executive director. "California deserves a governor who will not play politics with our lives and is committed to equality under the law for all Californians. Phil Angelides will be that kind of governor."
In addition to its list of currently endorsed candidates, Equality California PAC announced additional endorsements for the November general election. A complete list of EQCA PAC endorsed candidates can be found at eqca.org/pac/2006.

General Information About EQCA
Equality California, along with Equality California Institute and the Equality California PAC, share a mission to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Californians. Founded in 1998, Equality California has offices in Sacramento, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
EQCA is Californias LGBT civil rights and advocacy organization. Equality California leads efforts for LGBT civil rights at the state level through an array of strategies including sponsoring legislation and leading efforts to ensure their passage, lobbying legislators and other government officials, building coalitions, and empowering other organizations and individuals to engage in the political process. EQCA, working in partnership with Californias LGBT Legislative Caucus, has strategically moved California from a state with extremely limited rights for LGBT individuals to the state with the most comprehensive LGBT civil rights protections in the nation.

Yeah, he and Tom Amiano would make a cute couple....
Arnold will suck-up just as hard for the Loggy Cabin vote as the Greek Geek has for the rest of 'em!!!
For goodness sake... Can't you see that BOTH these men are just plain bad for CA's future?
If this tax-crazy socialist makes it, it will be my final shove to leave this perverted state. It was once a great state, until the fools that voted in the libs turned it into a liberal *&^%hole. Excessive taxation (already), trashed government education system, overrun by illegal Mexicans pandered to my the state government, and losing businesses and jobs faster than the socialists can raise more taxation on them and us.
I'm sure Susan Kennedy won't go down without a fight,, uhh, to capture as much gay vote as she can for the Gub, that is.
He has certainly not shunned their lobby when it comes to signing off on domestic partners legislation.

Governor Schwarzenegger Signs Domestic Partners Legislation
http://www.traditionalvalues.org/modules.php?sid=1891
September 16, 2004 Homosexual activists have won a major legislative victory in California with the governor signing a domestic partners law.
The new law, sponsored by Equality California and homosexual activist legislator Christine Kehoe, requires companies that offer health, life, homeowners and auto insurance to also include coverage for unmarried domestic partners on a par with married couples.
The goal, of course, is to equate unmarried sexual partners as equal to married couples under state law.
Homosexuals have used domestic partner legislation as a wedge issue to normalize same-sex relationships and as an incremental step toward the forced legalization of homosexual liaisons as marriage.
The ultimate goal, however, is to destroy the concept of marriage altogether. TVCs report, Do Homosexuals Really Want The Right To Marry? quotes numerous homosexual activists who admit that their objective is to abolish marriage as an archaic institution. TVCs article, Homosexual Marriage: Gateway To Polygamy/Polyamory, explains more about the effort to destroy the one-man, one-woman institution of marriage.

STATUS: Passed by the Legislature. Signed by Governor Schwarzenegger
Arnold VETOED the homosexual marriage bill and said he will veto the homosexual school curriculum bill -- Angelides said he will sign both of them.
Can you believe how 2-faced the EQCA and Sierra Club have been so far endorsing Angelides over the Gub? I mean really, the nerve of those folks when the Gub has done a pretty good job for both of them as well.
California politics is such a muddled affair these days. Ingrates abound.
The EQCA, Sierra Club, the unions SEE the huge differences between the two, it's amazing that you can't.
Arnold VETOED the homosexual marriage bill ..
To be Fair, after he vetoed it, he said he will leave it up to the people and the courts to decide the gay marriage issue and abide by their decision.
