I hope that Israel has better intelligence gathering this time around. As good as their intel has always been it is really surprising that they had as much trouble as they did.
The thing that irked me the most was the fact that the MSM would redefine any killed Lebanese as a 'civilian'. Gee some Hiz fighter gets wasted and now Israel has killed a 'civilian'. No distinction between a militia member and a civilian. I do think that our side has not properly taken into account that Hizbolla *IS* a political party and social organization WITH a militia rather than just a group of terror cells or armed fighters; thus they *can't* "disarm Hizbolla"-since nearly there is little distinction between a Hiz fighter and a civilian engineer, laborer, milkman except that the former is actually armed at the moment and shooting; thus when we waste a Hiz fighter the other side can say "they blew up a milkman and a few day laborers" without being technically incorrect.

Yes.. this is true. Even the Prime Minister of Lebanon has reiterated many times how "proud" he is of the resistance fighters (Hiz'bollah) and this is the guy who is supposed to send his troops to ... do what?

Hiz'bollah has built several hospitals, they have a TV station, Manar, they have to ministers in the Lebanon parliament.

Why are we pretending that Hiz'bollah is separate from the so called democrat Lebanon government?

It is bizarre, this charade. It is no wonder that Israel has had a devil of a time trying to fight Hizbollah why the world sits back and shows no support while Iran publicly proclaims its goal is to eradicate Israel from the face of the earth.
