Good for you, Minutemen...

As for my post what I meant was that if Bush can use the Patriot Act to put products like Alka Seltzer Plus, an OTC, an over the counter medication behind the pharmacy counter where customers have to be scrutinized before they can purchase it, then Tracfones and their ilk should also be put behind the service counters of Walmarts and Sam's Clubs. Anyone who buys them has to produce an ID. Anyone who buys over two at a time may get a visit from the local FBI.

They are "behind the counter" already- in order to get the phone activated you have to have the clerk do it right there.

You are limited to just two or three per purchase. The guys were trying to get by this limit by buying two at a time, then coming back for two more, and so on until they got the feeling people were on to them and try to move on.

The clerks are the ones who are reporting this suspicious activity - apparently the multiple purchases are allowed so as to give the store time to contact the police or FBI and ID the vehicle these guys are driving.

Walmart clerks have been noticing this odd activity since at least March.
