For any among us who are still in denial, for any still tempted to dismiss the war on terror as political hype, what say you now?

They say:

• Bush and Blair made the whole thing up to take attention away from Ned Lamont's victory over Joe Lieberman.
• The accused can't be guilty of anything because they have brown skin and were arrested by white men.
• It's all Israel's fault because they murder innocent Palestinians every day and live on land that doesn't belong to them.
• Islamic terrorists would leave us alone if we left them alone.

In other words, you can't reach them. They will continue to re-order reality to fit their preconceptions until the day a Taliban unit shows up at their doorstep with orders to march them to the nearest stadium and put a bullet through their heads. And all the way they will be crying "Brothers! I supported you!" The same fate has befallen mush-headed, idealistic, pseudo-intellectual Communist supporters all over the world for a hundred years now.
