First of all, there have been people, since Revelations was written ( and even before ! ), who believed that they were living in the end times. When Rome fell to the barbarians, those people thought that it was THE END TIMES ( due to war ), then. And when that book of the bible was written, it was NOT "prophecy"; nooooooooooo it was meant for those times.
Now, back to your mordantly ill educated earlier quip. We are living through almost NOTHING like the 1930s! There isn't a world wide DEPRESSION, 1/3 of our populace isn't unemployed, though not great, none of the European nations are having strikes, gigantic inflation, nor are they paying killing war reparations.
And while we DO have enemies, who ARE attacking us and Israel and England...with one attack in Spain and a few heated complaints in other countries, Islamonazis have NO nation; though some nations do help them with money and arms.
Russian and China don't want to get into a nuclear war with America.
Just as during the COLD WAR, this bash between Israel and Hammas and Hezzbollah, is a substitute kind of war for Russian and China. Actually, vis-a-vis China, it's N.Korean; but that's another story.
Stop playing the drama queen; especially since you are so very abjectly lacking in factual knowledge of any kind.
lol, you are funny.
I was refering more to appeasememt. the rest of the world does not really care if Iran has nukes. the international community does not care about Israel.
the appeasement and spead of facism is what 1939 and 2006 have in common.
about biblical prophecy. I suggest you study more.
Then again, those who do not study history are doomed to repeat it.
The Revelation of John may hold some ascendant truth about trials that humanity repeatedly goes through until the final End Times.
And as human nature doesn't change, the nature of the trials they experience may be repetitive as new generations forget the lessons of the older generations.
The lesson of Sodom is that Lot couldn't find 10 righteous men in the city to hold God's hand from destroying the city.
When we get down to less than 10 righteous men, then it may be the final End Times.
However, I find Revelations instructive as it treats on Judgment Day and the role of faith and righteous behavior in the judgment of mankind.
I am not the only one who has made this comparsion. I have seen/heard Hannity do it several times. is Sean dumb ??
It does get a bit old doesn't it? If people would just live everyday under the assumption that it is the last day, we'd probably all be better off. And as you clearly point out, the good ol' days weren't always so good. Call me an optimist, but I'm perfectly happy to be alive today, and if tomorrow is the end, I'm just fine with that too.
