Some FReepers seem to think this is the most powerful weapon we have nowadays. I'd love to see it used on a border with Syria or Iran however. Might make those tanks a little toasty inside. ;-)
Well, it's not the most powerful, but the trend in ordnance has been towards accuracy in recent times and away from massive explosions. For one thing, a well-placed bomb or missile usually does more tactically than a poorly placed huge bomb. And by the nature of things huge bombs are much harder to make accurate. The MOAB is delivered in a C-130 and is basically pushed out the back. It's never going to be as accurate as a Mk 84 JDAMS.
