Opposing the wiretapping programs? Opposing the financial tracing programs?Which were EXACTLY the programs which the British used to thwart the latest terrorist plan.

A-yup. And we can thank the NYT and their traitorous informers for rendering those programs near-useless by revealing their existence.

The Democrats have a yellow streak down their backs. They continue to try to convince us that it is caused by a liver disorder. Those of us that fully understand the seriousness of the war on terror and the threat to our culture that the terrorists represent, know it isn't a liver disorder.

Everybody who disagrees with them on a social issue is a bigot.
Everyone who disagrees with them on an economic issue is a selfish greedy rich person.
Everybody who disagrees with them on a supreme court issue is a fascist.
Everybody who disagrees with them on foreign policy is militarist.
Everybody else is ignorant, A dumb redneck, a small town provincial, infected by suburban crab grass and cul de sac mindset.
AND ANY OF US WHO DEFENDS HIMSELF IS SMEAR ARTIST!

anyone wonder why islamists in the US hate the patriot act?
From 2004:
"1. American Muslims expect of a future Kerry-Edwards administration to examine the Patriot Act ....
2. American Muslims expect to be included in a future Kerry-Edwards Administration. Visits that lack substance and group pictures are insufficient. American Muslims expect to be offered policy-making positions....
3. A Kerry Administration must be determined to ensure the First Amendment rights of American Muslims to freely practice their religion.
...American Muslims should have the right to offer money to any group of people around the world and within the US

During the latter years of the Cold War, the DemocRATS led by Jimmah "I will never lie to you" Carter, did everything possible to empower the dying Soviet Union while choking off America's means to defend itself.
Cancellation of the B-1 bomber, the betrayal of the Shah of Iran, the giving away of the Panama Canal (now controlled by a Red ChiCom front company for the PLA), the abysmal response to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, just to name a few of the Democrat/Carter debacles of the late 70's.
Now here we are about 30 years later, and the 'Rats have not changed their views one whit - they are seeking to undermine our national leadership, they give aid and comfort to America's enemies, their leftist mouthpieces in the lamestream media paint America in the worst possible way while soft pedaling the violence and atrocities committed by the Islamofascists each and every day, and they, the political party from which was spawned the Ku Klux Klan and every sort of ugly racism, accuse the Republican Party of being the party of bigotry.
The Democratic Party of the past is dead. And in it's place we see the 'new' Democratic Party which is based upon lies, hypocrisy, corruption and yes - TREASON.
What this organization calling itself the "Democratic Party" needs is a thorough investigation by the United States Department of Justice to determine how deep the roots of sedition go, and the perpetrators need to be identified, arrested, charged and convicted for their crimes against the United States.
We are at War. We cannot prevail in this conflict unless the witting and unwitting fifth columnists who are assisting our enemies are rooted out and disposed of.

Liberal "Logic"
Liberal party line:
- We needed the PATRIOT ACT in 2001.
- Everything GWB has done since 9/11 has made us less safe.
- We no longer need the PATRIOT ACT.
To: DBrow
I've noticed that pre 9/11, there were lots of commercial aircraft crashes in the US. Since 9/11, two? Three? Just two crashes in five years. Weird, huh?
11/12/01 - American Airlines lost an Airbus on takeoff from Kennedy when the tail fell off (due to pilot error!)- 260 lost.
1/8/03 - US Air Express Commuter lost with 21 on board.
But it's kind of like when a pitcher is throwing a no hitter. Nobody wants to mention it.

As recently as this morning, RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman used misleading rhetoric to cover up the fact that Republicans have consistently blocked Democratic attempts to make our country secure. How will raising taxes, increasing illegal immigration, creating public health welfare and supporting terrorist rights, make us more secure?

All dimwits started screaming this mantra almost as soon as the news was out about the thwarted terrorist strike because they knew they had screwed up big time by opposing the NSA wire taps and the tracing of money through foreign banks. They know they are in trouble so they are yelling their heads off about scare tactics because it is the only chance they have of winning any seats at all in Nov.
This is the screaming of someone who has their foot in a trap slowly being squashed and no way to free it. The President and the rest of the GOP need to be countering it, but most people are not believing it anyway. The only ones who believe the capture of some 20+ islamic terrorist was a put up job intended to scare people into voting for republicans are the nut case liberals.

My greatest fear, when listening to liberals, is that some day one of them is actually going to express an original thought, which will probably cause me to have an immediate heart attack. No problem with this article, thank goodness.

No, I think that it is no coincidence that there are fewer crashes now that we get our shoes xrayed and baggage screened.
Plus, we are using advanced intel techniques, and a host of other things.
I think that some, not all but some, of the crashes prior to 9/11 were enemy action. Some definitely were- Lockerbie, for example. Some are questionable.
