BALTIMORE (AP) — A fifth man has been arrested during an investigation into a possible terrorism threat to a highway tunnel this week, according to court documents.
Maged Hussein, who owns an eastern Boston market that was raided by federal authorities on Tuesday, was taken in to custody on a handgun charge, the documents showed.

Four other men were detained Tuesday on immigration charges and will be deported, according to Mark Bastan, acting special agent in charge at Immigration and Customs Enforcement here.

One of those men, 30-year-old Mohamed Ahmed Mohamady Ismail, came up in a tip about the purported tunnel plot from a source who is in custody in the Netherlands, Bastan said. The tipster said several men would drive vehicles filled with explosives through a Baltimore-area tunnel.

The other three men picked up at the same time as Ismail were identified as Mohamed Mohamed-Abdelhamed, 38, Suied Mohamad-Ahamad, 25, and Ahmad Al Momani, 58. Al Momani is from Jordan, and the others are from Egypt, Bastan said.

Each had failed to show up for separate deportation proceedings, Bastan said. "Technically, they were fugitives," he said. "Their deportations are just being acted on."

You're right, because the money must be going somewhere...obviously NOT to their housing choice. We are to believe that the owners are living on a second floor apartment in Dundalk on Holabird Ave.
I can't even begin to describe what a crappy area that is. It's next to the ports in Baltimore, and while there is some perfectly fine blue collar housing around, Holabird Ave...is a very ugly boulevard with alot of run down looking businesses. I drive up there about twice a year to drop off equipment for my business at a repair shop. Plus their business is in Glenburnie....why not live there? Glenburnie is equally blue collar, and it's probably just as cheap, particularly when you leave the bus district. Something smells here....

Hmmm...this is getting stranger...Debbie's article states the shop is in Glen Burnie...this article says it's Dundalk. Looking up the place in All Pages...it lists THREE SAFA Pizzas...

The tipster alleged that at least six Egyptians living in the Baltimore area were plotting to drive a bomb-laden vehicle into one of the tunnels and detonate the explosives. The explosives were to have been smuggled into port aboard a ship, according to the informant. Agents searched a Southeast Baltimore market and at least three pizza restaurants and detained four Middle Eastern men on immigration violations.

We have a halal pizza joint in the neighborhood. They use the same dough mix that you find in Afghan bread, and all the meat is provided by a halal meatpacker in Baltimore who uses turkey.

For a long time they were selling a super-giant large (about 18 inches wide) for $5.00. More recently it's been going for $7.50 if you pick it up yourself. They've been affiliated with Pizza Bola on and off.

This Safa's sounds like it might slip in "real" pepperoni ~

Since Baltimore housing prices are pretty near Washington DC suburban housing prices (median $550,000 sfd), I'd suspect the nasty stuff you're looking at with water access can be purchased for about $250,000 per quarter acre lot (with or without a nasty old house).

All the Safa pizza joints are independently owned but they get their meat from Safa, the meat packer/distributor. He claims he's halal.

So Safa is a chain? The legal name of the business must be different than what they advertise...I wouldnt' say that Baltimore prices are close to Wash house prices. DC prices are about double, in the city. I just found it weird that someone who owns a pizza shop in Glen burnie is living in a second floor apartment in Dundalk on Holabird Ave( no water view just asphalt)...those two areas are very price similar. Plus you're paying a toll over the bridge or through the tunnel each way.

What happened to "connect the dots". Why isn't Homeland Security, CIA and ICE all passing their info, collected in every single operation into and through the same database and filters.

There is no way someone with half a brain cannot make a few, reasonble suspicious concerns just from what little is known on this incident, in this thread alone, yet ICE would appear to be deaf, dumb and blind in the WOT.

And, since we have a White House that (1) ignores the war that the media is conducting, and (2) has little concern for what are the details of any situation, it is blind to any WOT questions the bureacracy is not coming up with.
