Are there bad Apples in the military?? hell Yes. There are bad apples in the Vatican and Capitol Hill is mostly rotten. That dosnt mean there are thousands of them, Just a few. It seems there are bad apples in the law business also and the Southern Poverty law office is one of them.

It was the SPLC that conjured up all those fables they told the FBI about that "evil scary cult of fringe-group Christians abusing children, storing machine guns, and running a meth lab" in Waco.

Interesting article. I knew the author, David Holthouse, when he was a reporter for Westword in Denver. During the period when I was working with the Tyranny Response Team, he interviewed me several times. I always found him intelligent, thoughtful, and a good investigator.

His articles on the gun rights movement were objective and fair. I am guessing that this was a freelance assignment.

Morris Dees is a social issue pimp most of the time, but sometimes good can come from strange places. I think the article's useful and informative.

Unsurprising. We have a clash of faiths, civilizations, and ideologies taking place during a transformation of technology and nationalism. Of course extremists are increasing their opportunities for weapons training and combat experience. No different from what the jihadists did in the 1980's - send young believers to Afghanistan. Our own murderous fundamentalist groups are sending their believers to Iraq.

We simply live in interesting times, is all.
