A young man sprayed a police car with bullets from an assault rifle during a traffic stop, wounding an officer before being shot himself, authorities said Sunday.
Two police officers pulled over a small black Honda in the Montecito Heights neighborhood northeast of downtown Los Angeles just after 11 p.m. Saturday.

Seeing as how the scumbags had already violated numerous laws being merely in possession of such a rifle, maybe it's time for Kommiefornia's politicians to be forced into rehab and allow the citizenry to deal with the problems.

The Chinese versions are crap.
I recently picked up a nice Romanian package (civilian legal AK variant) complete witt the correct sling, bayonet, 2 mags, oiler, and a case for less than $400.00.
With a case of Russian Wolf ammo I got out of the store for less than $600.00.
Not bad.

By definition, an "assault rifle" is a selective-fire rifle, chambered for a cartridge of reduced size/power (e.g. 7.62x39).
The term "assault rifle" comes from the German "Sturmgewehr".

Wait for more information on the AK before getting to exercised about the spraying reference. It may have been a semi-automatic AK but to the news media it will still be called an assault weapon when fired.

I just see the term used in the news all too often, and I doubt the people writing such stories even know what an "assault rifle" is. I'm sure they label guns based on looks, like the '94 gun ban was done. In my opinion an assault rifle is any rifle used to assault someone with lol.
