Obviously he wouldn't have done that if he didn't speak English.

That's how he learned to speak English. It wasn't his first, second or third language.

Like to buy a used car? Excellent way to learn English is to sell used cars. He also sold fleets for Toyota.

Why is it obvious? I once worked over a couple of bottles of wine with a Turk (Kurd) in a train car in Deutschland on a trip from Munich (Munchen) to Cologne (Koln), and his English was terrible.

On the other hand, we talked about all sorts of stuff in German ~ and neither one of us knew that much German.
