History and political science profs need to teach FACTS...not their opinion. And, while we're at it...we need to work on making sure the text books are FACTUAL not politically correct.

This gives me just a glimmer of hope....but, hope this happens soon cause if the Dems take over the House or Senate......all bets are off. The lib profs are a result of the lib politicians and judges. God help us.

--It 's time the communists were driven out of our universities, and lower schools. In fact, it's 50 years past time. Who do you think educated all those leftist TV talking heads?

We could start with all the communists on FR. You know, the ones who support hate speech laws and State funded Universities where they must control the speech of the Professors because "we funded it."

--We better win this election decisively cause the NEA has to be broken.

The Republican Party is going to break the NEA? How, by increasing the Federal education budget... again?!

Ahh b'lieve!

--and insist on loyalty oaths again for teachers.

LOL Yeah, that'll change their spots. No liars among communists.

How 'bout they just learn to recite the multiplication tables. That'd be a start.

"I'd like to see some objectivity in "journalism" schools."

Great idea, but who would you appoint to define "objectivity?" Even among folks who label themselves as conservative or liberal, "objectivity" is seen differently.

Should we have a government panel? Certainly not. Maybe some great journalists? Oops, too liberal. OK, the judges can decide. I don't think so.

What's your solution?

"Oh Dear. The horror of it all. That a taxpayer supported institutions would be subjected to control by the taxpayer's representatives. How awful. What is this world coming to./sarcasm."

So, you advocate government control over more things, including thought?

"Professors say the requirement for academic diversity in the bill of rights could force them to censor materials.

Instead of just censoring conservative materials like they do now..."

Great idea, let's censor all (actually, it isn't cenorship, but we'll overlook that).

State universities are already under government control...after all, they are financed with taxpayer money. Too many university types have forgotten that and think they should not be held accountable for how that money is spent. Just for the record, I do not favor censorship. I favor intellectual diversity...which is in short supply at most universities.

Politics is the art of the possible. It's possible we will elect the right people and get decisive leadership in congress. Then great things are possible. I know....I know, but I can dream can't I???? Regardless, we need to win decisively cause the NEA needs to be broken and we need to elect someone that will fight.

Then vote for Libertarians because with a few rare exceptions the Republicans have dropped the ball. One of the best Republican Reps from NC, Bill Wood (the author if this excellent testimony before the House Ways and Means Committee) is running as a Libertarian this year. Look around in your area, you may find someone you like. Or send some money to Bill, since he already has name recognition he has a good chance.

BTW, look into open source voting. Vote fraud via voting mystery voting machines can be stopped by having audited, verifiable by anyone with the ability, voting systems.

Libertarians, who will they caucus with? If we assume they are elected say 15 or so, if they don't caucus with the pubbies who takes over the Senate? It's not that I don't like libertarians I just don't want dims having the levers of power anywhere.

I support only pro-life Libertarians. They would caucus with conservatives on those basic issues of law, and with some of the liberals on civil liberties issues, much like Ron Paul does. Send him some help!
