Sorry President Bush, not buying it.
No victory, no peace.
Only war deferred and more deadly when it starts again.

it doesn't make America in the eyes of many Muslims respectful,"
No, the only thing that would do that would be to
accept Islam and institute Shari'a.
Islamic Fascists must die.

What would "strike a blow" to Syria and Iran is killing all Hezzies first, then striking a more literal blow to Syria and Iran. Anything else is naive appeasement.

Right, I am sure Hezbollah is scared to death the Lebanon army is going to disarm them. Ain't going to happen. They are just postponing the fight for another day.

"Imagine calling people Muslim fascists?" asked Ramsey Clark............ "That's telling a million, a billion, a billion-and-a-half people around the world that you're a fascist."
Umm, no it isn't. Like, if I use the phrase "American sheep farmers", that doesn't imply that all Americans are sheep farmers. See how that works, Ramsey?

Israel's best asset... it's deterent capability has lost it's edge.
The way they conducted the war, will not impress Syria or Iran.
It will only embolden Israels' ememies.
Sorry President Bush. I ain't buying it either

"Imagine calling people Muslim fascists?" asked Ramsey Clark, a former U.S. Attorney General under former president Lyndon Johnson, and a controversial political figure in America.
This traitorous POS needs to crawl into his hole. This bast*rd along with Carter are reponsible for more US military deaths than anyone. I can't tell you how angry it makes me to have read that some MSM is quoting this sh*thead basta*d traitor. I'm tired of this...

The IDF is holding and fortifying the high ground along the Litani River. Hezbollah is pinned down in their holes and surrounded. The Lebanese and UN will have to negotiate with Israel in order to come South.
Should be interesting.

By going through the U(seless)N(othing) the president has given both himself and Israel cover for what inevitably must follow when this cease fire falls apart.
To: Uncle Hal
Right, I am sure Hezbollah is scared to death the Lebanon army is going to disarm them. Ain't going to happen.Israel agrees, Lebanon agrees, and Hezbollah disagrees with the cease fire terms--then the renewed war is on their shoulders. If Hezbollah should agree then they, as proxy, betray Iran and Syria and the Naz is a dead man.
The amazing thing is that the rest of the UNSC went along with this three way trap.

It's an interesting situation with even more interesting possible future scenarios. The Democrat way of dealing with an inevitable world war is to wait until a larger attack against us occurs (or many attacks within a short duration), then to engage in high intensity conflict (as differentiated from our current tactics), which necessitates a large military draft for such emergency.
So we can do it the Republican way (which is not happening yet, given appeasements and delays for western European objections), or we can do it the Democrat way.

then the renewed war is on their shoulders.I thought hezbollah started it to begin with. How many times do we need them to start it?

The strategery is that Iran and Syria will not allow Hizb'Allah to accede to the terms of the cease fire, in which Hizb'Allah must hand over its arms to the Lebanese army and there is to be an embargo of arms to Hizb'Allah. Therefore, Israel should be able to continue with its fight, inasmuch as Hizb'Allah will not accept the terms of the cease fire.
So far, the strategery appears to be working. The Lebanese cabinet, which was supposed to meet to decide on implementation plans, has postponed its Sunday meeting indefinitely, because Nasrallah has gone back on his pledge to observe the cease fire.

We may like to see it that way but it doesn't matter what we think if the other side has a different thought process, culture or outlook. It needs to be explained to them in a manner that they understand. If they still live.
