This steady infection rate suggests that every year there are 40,000 new gay guys who get hit with it ~ odds are they are a substantial portion of all the new gay guys on the gay meat markets too.

So, let's say gay guys live 100 years. Then, over a century, there'd be 4,000,000 gay guys. At the same time there'd be 250,000,000 or so non-gay guys born (if non-gay guys only lived 76 years or so). That'd mean (4/250 = .016) or a maximum of 1.6% of the male population who ended up gay.

Of course, there are many fewer gay guys than I project, so they've gotta' be down less than 1%.

(I know somebody is going to argue that 100% of gay guys don't get aids ~ but how do you know unless you use a projection method that assumes the percentage of gay guys in the population is far greater than 1%.)

This number of gay guys also pretty well conforms to the best estimates of how many pedophiles there are who prey on young boys.

No doubt that's merely coincidental.

40,000 new cases aren't necessarily "new meat". There could be some who've dodged a bullet with their risky behavior several times and it finally caught up with them.

Are you saying that you think that virtually all gay men are also pedophiles that prey on young boys?

That just seems too extreme to me. I have read studies about how gay men are more likely to be pedophiles than straight men, but I don't think that means that all gay men are pedophiles.

Living in a college town, I meet a lot of gays and liberals, and sentiments like yours are the reason why I, as a conservative, am constantly fighting off allegations of being some close-minded bigot.

Most gays don't molest children, and most libs aren't out to destroy America. Most libs honestly believe that they are pursuing the best path for America. Despite what many FReepers may think, liberals aren't actively trying to destroy America, they are simply misguided in their thoughts about how to make America even greater.
