Y'know, what really gets me pissed about that picture isn't that she's playing up the sympathy angle by still wearing her hospital bracelet. Nope.

Look at what's in her lap.

Dollars to donuts that's the flag that she got handed AT HER SON'S FUNERAL.

My father always taught me to never hit a woman, but, God forgive me, I'd have a REALLY hard time not pimpslapping that waste of skin into next week if I saw her.

I feel I should point out that these days, you get a hospital bracelet even if you just go in for five minutes to have some blood drawn for standard lab work. Once you're in the door for anything, you're tagged, just in case. So there's always an outside chance that the entire "hospital ordeal" could have been made up, and then she just paid some fellow traveler MD $50 to order some blood work to give her an excuse to get in the hospital.

I know that the mere thought of that flag touching her skin is enough to make one feel like projectile vomiting, but I'm curious: What are the rules regarding handling of a flag from a soldier's funeral? I was under the impression they handed it to you at the burial service, and then took it away afterwards to have it sealed in a wood-and-glass case, which the family was then meant to keep at home in some place of honor. Are there any other uses of such a flag post-burial that are considered "legit"?

I saw the flag..and yes, I just did not even want to say it, hard to believe that she would use that as a prop.

She's got all the bases covered it seems.

Hospital bracelet, check, flowers, check, son's memorial flag, check.

I am sure she has lost the flag she was given at her son's funeral...or hopefully her husband got to keep it along with the house...

You can bet she has a stack of crisp flags all folded and ready in her "prop trailer".....they get a little wilted with her fake tears all over them....

I agree. She'll never forget ol' what's-his-name, who was killed by those patriotic "freedom fighters."
