For weeks, prominent Democrats parachuted into Connecticut to lecture their fellow partisans on the virtues and accomplishments of their good and close friend Sen. Joe Lieberman. Do not turn your backs on this man, they implored the state's Democratic rank and file. The world, the nation, the state and your front lawn are all better for this noble man's service.

A good take on recent events. Democrat powers descend on Connecticut to support Lieberman, but, then, switch and support Lamont after the election.
Ditto for Lieberman. Once a malleable party stalwart and now he decries left wing partisanship.
But has Al Gore said anything?

An excellent editorial. Thanks for posting it.

"More troublesome, however, are Lamont's evolving public views of the world. On Wednesday, he was a guest on MSNBC's "Hardball" and seemed to suggest that the miseries of the world find their root in American foreign policy. He indicated that he believes the war between Israel and the terrorist army of Hezbollah would not be blazing if America had not invaded Iraq."
THESE PEOPLE ARE DANGEROUS TO OUR NATIONAL SECURITY. LIEBERMAN IS A LIBERAL THROUGH AND THROUGH, BUT NO TRAITOR LIKE LAMONT.

Hanoi John Kerry is going to have a boat load of imitators this week : I was for Lieberman, before I was against him. :)

Exactly. I'm not a fan of most of Lieberman's politics, but I sure trust him to be the loyal opposition on the WOT. I completely concur with the last line of this editorial. My biggest disappointment is that the GOP didn't put up a solid, honest candidate that could win. That falls into the "What were they thinking" category.
But, I don't live in Connecticut, so I guess it really won't matter who I support in the long run.

They've been caught by the effectiveness of their own brainwashing. For years, they've labored to throw rocks against the war in order to alienate voters from a Republican President. The only people upon whom it worked was their own base, which is so FAR left as to alienate them from the vast majority of voters.
Then, when the strategy successfully marginalizes them they bewail to bail?
The effort to inform voters has been a great success; they now know that Democrats really are socialists.
