Never forget that he is one of the toughest on terrorism. I will bring it up again and again that he has my vote for how he embarrassed the Clinton and the world's hypocrisy when he had Yassar Arafat removed from the streets of New York and restricted to the UN and some towelhead embassy. For that alone he would be my candidate
To: Jake The Goose
Newt has personal baggage too with divorce and money.
To: Tijeras_Slim
He [McCain] is the darling of the MSM. That alone is all you need to know.
My first choice is George Allen, but I will settle for Rudy.

he may be yours but he's not mine. how long ago did you move to s.c. from n.y....
Even worse - I moved here from California - a native Californian no less.
Now - slap with me with stereotypical nonsense about California - I know you have it in you.
Knee jerk.
n.y., ca. is there a difference? almost as bad as n.j....

Rudy vs. the field vs. social conservatives.
08' will be a very good year - full of great friends having
great debates.
I love the Republican Party - we engage each other.
I love our party.
God Bless

Moving from California to South Carolina.
In California I played golf every Saturday morning with men
who smoked $10 cigars.
I South Carolina - I play golf every Saturday mornin with men
who EAT $1 cigars.
NOT SURE WHICH GROUP I LOVE MORE - but I do love em both.
To: Jake The Goose
Graybeard - enough said.I respect you opinion - I have mine.
On an open forum, I and the mods/owner, will make the decision as to when I've said enough.
I respect your right to have an opinion and state it as much as you like.

Agree.
There are limits on what a socially conservative Pres can do, aside from judicial appointments. (and even there, we got Souter and O'Conner from conservative Presidents). 8 years of Reagan and 8 years of GWB, and abortion is still quite legal. Gay marriage issues are being handled at the state level. Would Rudy appoint judges in the Scalia/Thomas/Roberts/Alito mold? That would be my bigger concern.
I think Rudy would be strong on the GWOT. If we lose that, then the social issues aren't so important anymore. Besides if we are living under Sharia law, gay rights, feminism, affirmative action, etc will no longer exist as issues as the proponents may quickly lose their heads, literally...

"I'm shocked one of them hasn't called him a RINO yet."
He's a RINO. It would be a toss-up between McCain and Rudy as to who the biggest RINO is. He should never have left the Dem party. People from the Northeast seem to see him as being conservative for some reason.
PS: I'm not one of the religious right.

ohn Gotti, thug that he was, would never have shown such disrespect for his family. He put his corrupt underqualified stooge in charge of the NYPD. He's a great pick.
Guess what:
- Rudy put Gotti away...
- Rudy's NYPD cleaned up NYC...
I appreciate your deep knowledge of the issues...
Try again - I'm still here

Excellent work! This needs to be posted every time we get one of these Rah! Rah! Rudy threads. I wonder who's paying for these ads? I have it bookmarked and will paste it to any thread extolling Rudi. He may be a patriot and I have never doubted that but he is liberal to the core.

He is strong on national defense? So what? There are plenty of Republicans who are too.I won't call him a rino, he's a democrat, plain and simple.
Nope. You can't be a Democrat and be strong on national defense any more, plain and simple.
