I tend to agree..... zooming in on the hands in the pic and looking at the pixelation around the hand and paper interface looks a little suspicious. For instance on the hand at the bottom of the pic there is a white pixel border....But I'm no expert.

The (most prominent) moles between his right eyebrow and right ear seem closer to his hairline in the new photo.Do ya think he had a facelift? You are right. It's very noticeable and strange. It also looks like they used a little Grecian formula on the grey that was in his hair and beard.

The shadow to the right of the newspaper is not credible.

Looks like Chevy Chase on the TV.

Obvious photoshop.
What does it mean when an official Communist Party newspaper starts photoshopping El Presidente for Life's photograph with the current paper?
I think it means he is pinin' for the fjords...

And his hair is less grey. As if he would have thicker hair and less grey after undergoing stomach surgery. He's dead Jim.

The color of his mustache and beard in the right picture which was 2 years ago is grayer than the supposedly recent picture.

The "newspaper" appears to be flash lit (sharp shadows) from the viewers upper left. That should leave shadows of Castro's head and beard on his left shoulder.
There are no other shadows, much less sharp shadows indicating studio lighting.
What's with all except the paper's name and headline being fuzzed out.

"It was impossible to confirm the authenticity of the photographs, which were credited to Estudios Revolucion, a division of Castro's personal support group that collects historic documents and images. But there was no reason to doubt they were real. "

He has good circulation, but he lacks his usual enthusiasm. Probably still on pain meds.

What's with all except the paper's name and headline being fuzzed out. This looks very much like a photo shop picture. The insertion of the "current" newspaper is an amateur job kinda like what was done in the old Soviet Union when one of the Kremlin leaders was sick and an old photo was pasted into a group picture.
Castro's minions haven't learned much in forty years eh?
