#375, I believe that Conyers should be impeached for using his taxpayer Paid staff to Babysit his offspring for weeks at a time. I believe there are a number of other things that he has done that are impeachable offenses, and when the Dems do not take over we may just see him finally pay the price. He is another Dem Kook that needs to be on Dementia Meds, or put out to pasture. For the last several years whenever he speaks it does not sound like anything but a droning "mother of all whine ins",and I do not see that changing.

What I am getting from this rant has to do with the 911 commission.

You are aware that the President didn't implement a lot of the suggestions of the 911 commission and he is doing what he feels will protect this country. There have been commissions for decades concerning one issue or another. And they usually are bi-partisan, if one party excludes the other than when the other party is in office they would exclude the suggestions of the other party.

But the terroists are ever changing their strategies and we need to be one step ahead of them. So what may be right a year ago may not be right for now. BUT I do agree with the commisssion about securing our borders, even if Clinostas did not do it before President Bush took office, we need to do that now.

I think the Libs have pictures of George Will in a brothel ...

Brothel? No. Bath house? Quite possible!

Re the day all the IEDs go off across Norte America. I have seen high administration officials constantly saying openly that Syria and Iran are the suppporters of hizzies and the insurgency in Iraq, and by inference all of the Islamofascist movement. This tells me that IF we get hit in the homeland the first pay back will be Iran. Remember: you are either with us or with the terrorists, in the WOT. The Taliban learned that the hard way. Iran has a big target on its back.

#379, I think you nailed why we are seeing the "newly composed" David Gregory. He may want to look good as he may be auditioning to replace "Timmy the Hunchback from Buffalo" if and when the Partisan Hack is indicted/subpoena'd. I trust everyone missed seeing Buffalo Butt in the face of any Pubbie that is ever on the Show. It has always been my impression that Russert never listens to the Answers to his loaded questions, he is already thinking of the next loaded question and how mean and nasty he can hurl invectives. With the exception of BOR and Brit Hume most of these reporters/Newspeople/Talkshow Hosts do not listen and therefore never ask a followup question. They might as well do a monologue show with no guest at all.

Snugs, Do you get the recipes from a recipe book? If so when I get to London I want to buy the recipe book
If not than I want a copy of every one of your recipes:)
You should open a restaurant for us Americans when we come across the pond to visit.

I get the feeling that the DBM/DNC has been blown away by the UK Terrorist busts, and they have to go way farther over the edge to almost total insanity,or they will still be in the Minority after November. To them it is do or die, especially where the DBM is concerned because they cannot take another election cycle with their Circulation,Revenue, etc. numbers in the toilet.

Excellent analysis.  They really are scrambling, throwing out tons of alternate and conflicting spin, looking to see what gets traction.  We need to be on top of this for the next few days.  This is a critical phase of the information war.

So far I've picked up the following thems:

  1. Bush staged the UK bomb plot to distract from the big loss of "his guy" in Connecticut
  2. Bush staged the UK bomb plot so that he could spin the Lamont victory and make anti-war types look bad
  3. The UK bomb plot was defeated by police action, not war and the war in Iraq is a distraction
  4. The UK bomb plot was hatched because of the war in Iraq and all Muslims loved us before we invaded peace loving Iraq
  5. The UK bomb plot has nothing to do with the war on terro and simply reflects the racism of the British government (this from the British press)
  6. The UK bomb plot proves that Bush has failed in the war on terror, otherwise they wouldn't have been able to get this far
  7. The UK bomb plot was an Al Qaeda operation and if we'd only stayed out of Iraq we would have caught/capture Osama Bin Laden by now, and the WOT would be over

and there are others I'm sure I've missed.

Everytime we identify one of the talking points we have to identify who said it and where, then patiently walk through it, step by step, and show what crap they're selling.

I think Howie Kurtz is a fine example of an Anti Jewish/anti Israel Jew. If he did not behave that way, he would never collect another Paycheck and he knows that very well so he unloads on them knowing the DBM/DNC is getting more and more Anti-Semitic every week. He is a gutless, unmanly, worthless POS, and those are his good points.

I've got to start looking to the classics for my tag lines.  That one is excellent!

Important post.  Thank you. (and, yes, I'm registered and I do vote)

Now I am off to dish it up

See you all either later or next week probably next week as I doubt I will get back to the thread tonight as I am also making some jam with the blackberries from the garden. They are producing faster than we can eat them.

You know I love you, stopem, even if I don't know you. But that 9/11 commission suggested protecting our borders?

Now how darn original is that? My three year old granddaughter suggested that same thing just the other day.

But okay...okay. I still despise the liars, opportunists, et all, who don't give one damn about thee and I. They care about themselves and their own importance. This includes the media, the Clintons, Nancy Pelosi and that stupid 9/11 commission.

That 9/11 commission report is now part of history. Someday my granddaughter is going to read that history. Hey, it's now a book! With footnotes!

You don't think the public schools of the morrow are going to be shoving that crap down the throats of innocent children? Go with me on this, Hillary et al will move mountains to put reading that commission report on the school's agenda. Not because it's true or anything, but because it PROTECTS THEM!

Truth. The Greater Good. Interesting concepts.

Just finished watching Kean & Hamilton on MTP. These guys came across as 2 senile old fools who ought to be in the Home.

OK, with my failing vision I misread your post the first time through.  I thought you said "ought to be in the House,"  instead of in the Home (the capitalization probably tricked my brain, which tries to fill in the blanks in my swiss cheese vision).  When I first read it and thought that's what it said I was about to agree with your oh so cynical opinion of the peoples House of Representatives.

LOL

#394, The Father is the very Wealthy former Congressman from California who spent a lot of his fortune trying to buy a Senate Seat. It was not long after he lost that he came way out of the closet, and the Girls were fairly young then so of course Arianna got a huge settlement. I often wonder how many men would still be straight Married ,(and basically stuck) to a total freakazoid nutcase like her. That voice, that attitude, that body language, that behavior.

The Islamifascists are stupid to believe this would make us back off, instead of going for their collective throats and hineys.

To quote our Vice President, "Oh yeah.  Big time."

If we think that it can't happen to us we're fooling ourselves.  I don't doubt that we'll win such a battle.  If we take the gloves off we'll destroy them all.  It won't be pretty and it won't be cost free, by a long shot, but we'll wipe them off of the planet, perhaps literally.

My great fear is what that will do to us.  Who will we be when we're done?  So long as we can ask that question I'll have hope, but it will be a near thing.  I'd hate to win only to find that we've been turned into them.

Entirely too much to watch on Sunday anyway and now I've got to check out the road race on NASCAR, chicken for the grill along with fresh corn in the husk, green beans and the trimmings.

Are you listening Snugs? Snugs occasionally posts her evening meal menu and my mouth begins to water. I'm ahead of her today. :)

Last week I made a formal suggestion that Snugs start posting her Sunday menu each week in the same way that anita posts her media nuggets.  anita's post may be the more politically informative and is certainly one of the highlights of the Sunday thread, but I've come to also look forward to Snugs mention of what she's fixing for dinner (and the occassional recipe) as well.

I just read your story...and I am in no position to judge you about anything.

I do feel you have punished yourself far more than anyone else could....somehow you need to find a way to forgive yourself.
