This woman, author, is out of her mind. She cannot handle her own emotions and thereby seeks to punish EVERYONE and because she can't cope. It's the feminist mantra: If one woman is raped anywhere in the world, ALL WOMEN ARE BEING RAPED.

This woman needs to get a grip and recognize that she is NOT the center of the universe. The world and reality does not spin around her ego-centric sense of the world.

She seeks to punish everyone but only in order to deny coping with her own suffering. If she can be an activist, she thereby thinks it will lessen her suffering -- that she is DOING something.

She doesn't need to do anything other than properly grieve. IN solitude and with God. The longer she puts off her grieving, the worse her life will become. The pattern of denying loss and pain and suffering will continue to afflict itself upon her as a pattern for her to use at all times. In short form, she will become a raving shrew.

But she doesn't know this. She'll get some Cindy Sheehan fawning, and she'll, in her confused psyche, think she's doing right. She's not. Her loss is very personal. She's not treating this as a personal loss. She'll end up in a quagmire of her own creation, and rather than look at her denials, blame others.

This reminds me of my college days. We were required to go to a specific number of "cultural events" as part of our requirement for graduation. One such event was a female speaker who had been the "victim" of a date rape. I put the word victim in quotations because the rape had occurred five years previously, and she was up there at the lectern railing against men in general, with a very accusatory tone. The longer I sat there, the madder I got. I didn't rape her, but she was making me out to be a rapist by default, simply because I was a man. I noticed when I was getting my master's degree at another university, she was speaking at that institution as well. Basically, she has exploited her "rape" for money. Essentially, she's a prostitute.

"I cannot say whether the woman who shot my brother was vicious or insane"

I can. Try, "Both!"

From the description in the original article, it was pre-meditated murder.

She chose a handgun. A shotgun would have worked, or a car.

I'm sorry for her loss, but I've used the presence of a gun twice to keep myself in one piece. And no, I didn't fire a shot. The fact that I could was enough to end what would otherwise have turned into 8 on 1 fights against bigger men than myself.

So - should I have died so her brother could have been killed by a car instead of a gun?
