Reallly scary + depressing to think we are in fact relying more on Walmart clerks than on the freaking FBI for our national security.
Perhaps next time we have a Waco-type scenario, we should call Walmart...?

Reallly scary + depressing to think we are in fact relying more on Walmart clerks than on the freaking FBI for our national security. The FBI can't be everywhere. There are nearly 300 million US citizens. Concerned citizens need to be vigilent and report suspicious activity. If there had been the same kind of wariness prior to 9-11, those attacks could have been thwarted. I don't think the strippers who danced for Atta and the other 9-11 terrorists would ignore the terrorist threats made by them nowadays.

Actually I disagree. We have ALL been reminded by our president and various LEO agencies that WE are the eyes and ears..these events if/when they occur- occur locally whether it's here in Florida where I live or in Michigan or Idaho. This enemy is clever, creative and always learning. We need to pay attention and notify authorities when we see something that..just doesn't...fit.

so you don't think we're all involved in this or do you think the FBI should have an agent in every store? give us some more details on your well thought out ideas.

Reallly scary + depressing to think we are in fact relying more on Walmart clerks than on the freaking FBI for our national security.Well to be fair, I imagine would-be terrorists are probably just a tad more discreet when around FBI agents then when they're interacting with Walmart clerks...
'Course that's just me guessing, maybe you're right, maybe the FBI can be everyplace in this country and can see every interaction, and its just their incompetence that prevents them from doing so.

to think we are in fact relying more on Walmart clerks than on the freaking FBI Only officials, elected officials, and officers are to keep their eyes open. Citizens are to go about their business as if this planet is the Garden of Eden.

depressing to think we are in fact relying more on Walmart clerks than on the freaking FBI for our national security. No.
The clerk had his/her eyes open and alerted authorities when something unusual happened. That's how it's supposed to work.

Perhaps next time we have a Waco-type scenario, we should call Walmart...? Well, that would be a lot better than calling BATF. At least WalMart clerks wouldn't burn a bunch of innocent little kids to death.

If you were thinking that the government was going to protect you, you are going to be sadly disappointed. They can't be everywhere at all times and they often rely on tips from normal citizens.

We are in a TOTAL WAR against the Islamofascists and cannot rely on the FBI or any other government agency to be our only line of defense. Thank God we had heads up work by that Walmart clerk. Vigilance is required of all of us.
