If we did not have courts that told them "Si Senor" at almost every bend, they would not matter.

The disease is called ACLU. This cancerous organization, this poisonous growth.....Truer words have not been spoken about this vile organization. Good for Pat Boone!

The ACLU has become the voice of the New Tyranny, the tyranny of the minority. They are the tip of the dialectical wedge, disintegrating this country by litigating every contestable historical value. And since this country was founded on a notion of cultural "elbow room," almost all its values are contestable; for every "X" there's a "not X." In the world of the ACLU, opposites have to be mutually exclusive; one has to survive at the expense of the other.
There is no less tolerant, backward, or oppressive organization on earth, Taliban, KGB, and Gestapo included.

Someone needs to file a suit to get the "American" removed from their name.

The ACLU fights any organization or individuals that promote good character and/or religion. It does come out publicly in favor of pedophiles. And it used lawsuits - extortion - to force others to bend to their will.

The ACLU, itself, is not the cancer. It is the agent that makes the cancer possible.
Much like Karposi's Sarcoma, which is normally very rare, when AIDS is also present, its occurrence is much greater than expected as compared to the wider population. ACLU is rather like AIDS, in that it does not kill by itself, but makes the host much more vulnerable to death from other causes.

In my opinion this is an awesome opportunity for president Bush to issue a couple of executive orders. 1: to declare that the ACLU is detrimental to US security and that any forthcoming statements by them be run through NSA computers to determine terrorist intent.
2: to declare that any forthcoming comments by the ACLU be dumped into the Potomic river as fertilizer for the aquatic life

As someone who has been diagnosed with incurable cancer I deeply resent Mr. Boone's analogy. I despise the ACLU as much as anybody but to compare them to some kind of terminal cancer crosses the line.

What ever happened to the public expression of religion act? It was supposed to be brought up in the Judicary committee weeks ago. What, did Specter leave it in the gutter before the 2006 mid terms? Bad move buddy. It could have been a galvanizing force for conservatives. it would have shown that the people on the hill with "R"s in front of their names could deliver on something.
To: wagglebee
This is exactly it.
Now if we can have politicians with the gall to actively shrivel this cancer by legislatve means, we'll be getting somewhere.
That's exactly what the ACLU is to America--a nasty cancer whose single biggest lifeline is the tax trough it feeds on.

I agree with Mr. Boone, however late his message is.
The time to do something beyond prayer is overdue.
Rampant socialism in this country must be strongly attacked or else the patient will soon be in hospice.

"Free access to pornography, including Internet pornography access for children." Sounds like the American Library Association, only the ALA has more control over libraries than does the ACLU.
