There you have the heart of a communist "statesman."
awww ... he sounds like he is trying to be like Alexander the Great or something .... in reality he sounds like a deranged Hitler at the end of WW2
It's my neighbor who has siblings in Cuba, not me, Irish is about as close to Latin as my background gets, but thank you...I just keep hearing the rumors since I come in contact with Latins on an everyday basis here in Miami.
What really strikes me is talking to my liberal friends...they are not at all hopeful that Castro might be leaving us, and look down on the Cuban expats for what they see as small mindedness. Most of us who frequent FR have no problem recognizing communism for the evil that it is, but to liberals, it's a whole different point of view. It's just now coming home to me, even though I've often heard it said, how ready "liberals" are to consign everyone else in the world to totalitarianism, how accepting of the concept they are.
But yeah, it looks to me as if he is still with us also, too bad. This has been a real anomaly in his usual behavior, fwiw.
Liberals really don't get the terror of that. Don't they care about their kids, grandkids, great grandkids....I think we can thank our public school system...if these kids aren't taught properly at home which includes accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour....well...

I read it, which is why I commented the way I did. I don't buy Geyer's analysis about Castro's historical significance or his supposed "firsts." He was a garden variety dictator and thug who captivated the Left in this country. He is [was] a legend in his own mind.
I didn't think it was a puff piece? Far from it actually...
Just Wow..
Thanks for an enlightning read shield... FReepers are the best..
