Muslims Say U.K. Policy Sparks Terror

LONDON - Prominent British Muslims, including three in Parliament, said in an open letter Saturday that Britain's foreign policy has made it a target for extremists. The country's terror alert remained at the highest level, though flights at Heathrow Airport were expected to return to "nearly normal."

The letter, printed in several British papers, said Britain's intervention in Iraq and the failure to secure an immediate cease-fire between Israel and Hezbollah militants in Lebanon were providing "ammunition to extremists who threaten us all."

"We urge the prime minister ... to show the world that we value the lives of civilians wherever they live and whatever their religion," said the letter, which was signed by three of four Muslim members of Parliament and 38 Muslim groups, including the influential Muslim Council of Britain. "Such a move would make us all safer."

I was kind of surprised to read that Britain had 3 Muslims in their parliament. In the US we probably have them in the Congress also, though they dont actually admit it. I know we have some people who are Muslim enablers and traitors to their country and still Democrats vote them in.
One of them claims to be a medal winner in the service of his country , but he wont produce any records of it .

It's never the fault of radical Islam, is it? The society of the perpetually pissed off will ALWAYS find something to justify killing infidels.

That is one of islams greatest errors. Because islam (and muslims) are exempt from criticism, it cannot grow and mend itself. Ergo, it remains stagnant and putrefied.

Christianity on the other hand reveals its truth as result of constant examination and Christians learn to see the error of their ways by introspection and become contrite.

I think you've got it.

The problem is that when you go "there's no excuse for violence" route you get the "give peace a chance" "you were both fighting, you both get punished (in grade schools, with a clear bully and a clear defender)", "proportional response" to agression" and other such far left nonsense.

I prefer "you start, I end it any way I want to" With "You start" defined as any physical agression at all.

This includes: bully pokes kid, bully is suspended or kicked out of school into

man beats up woman, she goes to the er to document injuries, she now has a clear defense for her murdering him, at her convenience

I would work with your local congressman to get them to join together and craft a "DECLARATION OF WAR AGAINST WORLDWIDE ISLAMIC FASCISM"..in those direct words. Get the exact text ready. Of course, the Congress WILL NOT PASS IT, nor will the President sign it. However, having the language intact and ready to go, the bill can be introduced the next day after America's next HUGE terrorist attack. No congressman in his right mind could oppose it then. It would be passed overwhelmingingly. The people would demand it. And it would be finally ABOUT TIME!

Sad that it will have to come to that before we can get the official declaration.

Had the TV on late last night, CNN, with Christine Amanpour detailing the history of Muslim bombings, starting with the blind Imam and the first World Trade Center bombing. She didn't mention Kobar Towers bombing, the embassy bombing, the Cole, etc...she was concentrating on why Muslims don't like Western Civilization and want to see us all dead...their point of view. She had a laminated card she held up for viewers to see...which I missed since my eyes were closed. The card was, I think, a list of what Muslim terrorists should do if caught, or something like that. Maybe a motivational aid.

This Islamic sickness is growing exponentially, because the world is afraid to deal with it. It can still be stopped, but time is short, and the critical point is fast approaching where the world will be fully involved in a cataclysmic suicide. Our President certainly the best of our choices, but he is a very weak leader, isolated from the people, unable to exercise the power of Presidential communication. The Congress is totally inept, with less respect than inmates at our prisons, and the government employees are little more than psychofants appointed by crooked politicians. The real power brokers in the country are the unelected, radical liberal, media heads who have assumed the responsibilities of brainwashing the people with their incessant radical propaganda. America and the world is in a sense much like the radical Islamics. From birth we are indoctrinated by media potentates (the media version of Islamic ayatollahs), until we reach the point of being incapable of independent thought. The Islamic radicals have been set on a suicidal course of world destruction, and the Western media radicals have been set on a suicidal course of political correctness which encourages them to drop their defenses.

Speaking of Zogby. He's been all over the TV discussing his poll results with regard to Lamont/Lieberman.

What a surprise, everyone he polled is happy that Lieberman was defeated. He gave his poll results with a straight face and they were received with a straight face.

I agree with you. Sadly, it'll take another horrific attack to get this country to get elites and the general dumb public to admit we're truly at war. (Although I heard encouraging noises from people when the plane plot was exposed. People actually said 'we're all at war'.) But if we lose congress to the dems, there goes any hope of a republican president being able to wage war. Dems will line up to wave the white flag. (Dean immediately blamed Bush for the plot.)

Other than the Lieberman/Lamont race and his polling, Zogby's been on TV lately promoting the Muslim/Arab point of view vis a vis Israel's defending herself. Just wondered what he'd have to say about the plane bombs -- lies or weasely moralizing about poverty and illiteracy being breeding grounds for the poor 'disaffected'. 'Disaffected' is the new code word used by elitist/Libs to describe homicidal Muslims. Isn't it amazing that they can come up with countless euphemisms to avoid calling a spade a spade, and somehow it's all our fault. We just need to 'educate' them, (last week's bright idea), fix the poverty problem, and things will be fine.

Have just visited "have your say" on the BBC website to add my comment/recommend comments. Granted, there were some well thought out posts, but the number of weirdoes stating that it was a Bush+Blair conspiracy/Britain's fault for being in the middle east/all lies etc in fact just about everybody's fault except the actual perpetrators, still surprised me. I should expect this rubbish from the BBC but it still gets to me. One of the reasons why I won't pay the license.
